dc sniper execution
Convicted sniper suspect John Allen Muhammad, the 2002 deadly rampage mastermind which terrorized our nation's capital, was executed on Tuesday evening. Muhammad's attorney Jon Sheldon argued that he should not be executed because Muhammad suffered from severe mental illness and claims that evidence of that mental illness was never presented at trial.Muhammad was executed for killing Dean Harold Meyers, who was shot in the head at a Manassas gas station during a spree that left 10 dead across Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
His ex-wife, Mildred, who released a memoir titled "Scared Silent" last month about her decade-long marriage to the killer, describes years of domestic abuse -- but also, surprisingly, his "exceptionally attentive and romantic" side.
It certainly seems there are two sides to every story and this one is no exception. Perhaps its time to take a closer look at the reasons for this.
